Meet the Team Behind Hardey’s MotorWerks
Meet the skilled team dedicated to quality, precision, and keeping your vehicle performing at its best.
Hardey Beitz
opened HMW in November of 2005
Hardey Bowman Beitz is a craftsman of precision, performance, and trust — a master technician who brings the same discipline and drive to every project that once made him an All-State athlete.
Raised in Parker, Colorado since 1983, Hardey learned early that excellence isn’t given — it’s built. As an All-State running back at Chaparral High School, he set the school’s all-time rushing record, a reflection of the work ethic that still fuels him today.
That dedication carried into his professional life. Hardey graduated summa cum laude from Lincoln Tech with perfect attendance, then went on to the Audi Academy, where he finished first in his class. His technical mastery and attention to detail became the foundation of Hardey’s Motorwerks — a trusted name in European automotive service. From precision maintenance and complex repairs to performance tuning and full builds, every project reflects his commitment to quality and integrity.
In the summer of 2005, Hardey helped build a URA4 (B5 chassis powered by Audi’s legendary five-cylinder engine) that went on to win the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Open Class — a project that showcased his mechanical intuition, engineering skill, and love for competition.
Outside the shop, Hardey is deeply rooted in family and the Colorado lifestyle. A proud father of five, he experiences the joy of watching his sons compete on the football field and guiding his daughters through life’s challenges with patience and heart. At home, he and his family care for 24 chickens, two goats, three cats, and three dogs, embracing the rhythm of rural life.
When he’s not in the shop or with his family, you’ll likely find him on the slopes — skiing 30-plus days each season with new backcountry goals ahead, including skinning Chicago Ridge this year.
Through it all, Hardey remains true to what drives him most — precision, meekness, and a relentless pursuit of excellence, both in his craft and in life.

Marcel Samuel
Shop Manager and Lead Service Advisor since 2014
Marcel began his career at a Volkswagen dealership in 2001, where he spent a decade as a factory-trained and certified technician. From 2001 to 2011, he honed his expertise in powertrain and drivetrain systems, suspension, and underbody components—including ABS and airbag systems—building a foundation of technical excellence that continues to define his work today.
For the past 10+ years, Marcel has been a cornerstone of the Hardey’s Motorwerks team. He started as a full-line technician, tackling everything from advanced diagnostics to complete system repairs across all vehicle platforms. Over time, Marcel has not only been integral to the shop’s success but has become Hardey’s right-hand man—taking on countless responsibilities and upholding the same high standards that define the HMW name.
As Shop Manager and Lead Service Advisor, Marcel combines technical mastery with leadership and precision, ensuring every project meets the level of craftsmanship customers expect. His passion for Audi and Volkswagen engineering runs deep—fueled in part by his own legendary build: a big-turbo VR6 Mk3 he transformed into a widebody by slicing up a 1993 Volkswagen Corrado. The car gained national recognition and now resides with a collector in California.
When he’s not in the shop, you can catch Marcel spending weekends with his family camping or fishing—or playing guitar at his church. His commitment, both to his craft and his community, embodies the spirit that drives Hardey’s Motorwerks.

Landon Stuchlik
B Technician at HMW since 2021
Landon is an automotive technician with six years of experience and a lifelong passion for European cars. He started turning wrenches right out of high school and quickly found his calling in precision, detail-oriented work. Landon takes pride in doing every job right the first time—and doing it with the kind of confidence that comes from knowing his craft inside and out.
He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology from Arapahoe Community College, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. That academic excellence set the tone early for the standard he holds himself to every day in the shop.
Landon joined Hardey’s Motorwerks over five years ago as an apprentice and has hustled his way up to a B Technician through relentless work ethic, hands-on experience, and a drive to master his trade. He’s stacked up certifications from ZF Transmission and the Mobile Air Climate Systems Association (MACS), adding to an already deep toolkit of technical skills.
Proud of his Czech heritage—where many VW and Audi parts are made—Landon likes to think European engineering runs in his blood. His current claim to fame? A MK7.5 Volkswagen GTI that holds the title of quickest MK7.5 GTI in Colorado.
That same ambition shows up outside the shop too. One of Landon’s personal goals for 2023 was to buy a home—and, true to form, he made it happen in 2024. It’s just another example of how his dedication, precision, and drive extend far beyond the garage.

Andrew White
B Technician at HMW since 2022
Andrew White has spent the last eight years mastering the art of German automotive engineering, specializing in Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. A true VW/Audi enthusiast, he thrives on the constant challenge these machines present and takes pride in his deep technical foundation — backed by formal education and a drive to continually expand his knowledge through advanced training and certifications.
Andrew began his career at an independent shop, cutting his teeth on light and medium-duty Mercedes-Benz diesels. After graduating from Lincoln Technical Institute’s Diesel Technology program, he discovered his passion at a Volkswagen dealership — where his enthusiasm for the VAG family of vehicles quickly evolved into expertise. That passion ultimately led him to Hardey’s in 2022, where he expanded his focus to include Audi and brought his technical precision and brand devotion to a new level.
A Colorado native through and through, Andrew finds balance in the mountains when he’s not under the hood. He’s owned two lifted Touaregs — built to take on the toughest trails — and can often be found exploring Colorado’s backroads and jeep trails with the same curiosity and commitment he brings to every vehicle he works on.

Jack Herth
C Technician at HMW since 2022
Jack is a Colorado native who’s been surrounded by mountains, horsepower, and snowy roads his whole life. After graduating from Rock Canyon High School in 2020, he went on to earn his credentials as an automotive technician from Arapahoe Community College in 2022 — finishing with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
A defining moment in Jack’s automotive journey came when he got behind the wheel of a Mk8 Golf R on the Nürburgring. The car’s precision, balance, and composure through every corner left a lasting mark. It wasn’t just fast — it was dialed in. That drive became the spark that pushed him to buy and build a Mk7 Golf R of his own.
Since joining Hardey’s Motorwerks three years ago, Jack has racked up an impressive list of training accomplishments — including five ASE certifications, Bosch training, and certification from the Mobile Air Climate Systems Association (MACS). He’s the first to sign up whenever new classes drop, always chasing the next skill, the next edge, and the next level of mastery.
For Jack, cars aren’t just a passion — they’re a lifestyle. When he’s not fine-tuning his MK7 Golf R project or keeping his 2003 Passat daily running strong, he’s in the shop chasing perfection one bolt at a time.
When the snow starts to fall, you’ll find him up at Breckenridge carving clean lines through the powder — bringing the same balance, focus, and drive that define him on and off the clock.

Hugh Gordan
A Technician at HMW since 2025
Hugh grew up in Boulder, Colorado, with a wrench in hand and a drive to build something better. A dual citizen of Australia, he spent high school at a technical academy studying automotive systems and building custom car audio setups. His first car — a 1989 BMW 325i E30 — kicked off a lifelong obsession with performance, precision, and time behind the wheel.
After a short stint at Jiffy Lube (“hated it,” he admits), Hugh headed to WyoTech in Laramie, earning an associate’s degree in Automotive Business and Management. Back in Boulder, he joined Gebhardt VW (now Emich Boulder) and rose to Volkswagen Master Technician over an 11-year run. He later brought his expertise to Station Automotive, then took six months to travel through South America, Thailand, Australia, Dubai, and Sri Lanka, chasing a bit of balance before diving back into shop life.
Hugh went on to work at Prestige Imports and Emich Denver, expanding his experience with electric vehicles and high-end European systems. After co-running a forest-style home daycare with his wife, he returned to professional wrenching in 2025, joining Hardey’s Motorwerks.
He now lives in Evergreen with his wife, three kids, six chickens, and a newly acquired VW Eurovan — his first Volkswagen in 20 years. When he’s not working on cars, he’s exploring mountain roads, tinkering in the garage, or enjoying the outdoors with his family.

Joshua Casias
B Technician at HMW since 2025
Josh has been wrenching professionally for over six years and brings serious passion and precision to every build. A Universal Technical Institute graduate out of Houston with a 4.0 GPA, he’s got both the technical chops and the drive to back it up.
A die-hard Honda guy at heart — with a fully built, turbocharged FB6 Civic Si to prove it — Josh joined the Hardey’s Motorwerks crew in June 2025 and has been catching on fast to the world of German engineering. He’s already lined up advanced training classes to take his skills even further, blending his performance mindset with the craftsmanship that defines Audi and Volkswagen.
In the shop, Josh is all about doing things right the first time — from diagnosing tough issues to dialing in performance upgrades that make every car feel alive. Outside of work, you’ll catch him at local meets and car shows, talking builds, swapping ideas, and keeping that community energy strong. For Josh, cars aren’t just work — they’re a lifestyle.
