Your VW or Audi has the ability to recognize and acknowledge faults within multiple systems, including (but not limited to) Engine, ABS, and Airbag. The vehicle will show you there has been a fault within a system with a fault lamp. There are MANY MANY possibilities as to what fault will turn on which light and when. Fault lights require a knowledgeable and competent technician to be solved correctly and in a timely fashion the first time.
